Auckland is set on 53 dormant volcanic cones and it is New Zealand’s largest and busiest city. Travel up Queen Street, through Auckland’s central business district, past the Auckland University to the inner city park, known as the Domain. Here we will visit the Auckland Museum, one of Auckland’s most stunning buildings and home to exhibitions covering the legacy and cultures of the peoples of the Pacific.

Auckland Museum holds 2000 priceless Māori artifacts and amazing natural history exhibits. It is also the war memorial for Auckland and has a whole floor dedicated to the wars that New Zealand took part in. Your Bush and Beach guide will take you through the museum showing collections of interest.

Your visit to the Auckland Museum will also include the Māori cultural performance. Enjoy a glimpse of traditional Māori culture in an engaging performance of song and dance, culminating with a spine tingling version of the world famous haka.

Continue on through the picturesque suburb of Ponsonby, with its historic buildings, before heading over the Harbour Bridge to Auckland’s North Shore. Stroll on one of our beautiful white sand beaches, where there is time for a coffee, before continuing up to the summit of Mt Victoria with its stunning panoramic views of Auckland City and historic Devonport.

Then travel back over the Harbour Bridge to view Westhaven Marina, one of the largest marinas in the Southern Hemisphere.
