Bush and Beach sponsor Muriwai planting day
At Bush and Beach we take our clients to some amazing locations and we like to give back to communities we visit by supporting local environmental initiatives.
We were thrilled when we were recently given the chance to help the The Muriwai Environmental Action Community Trust who wanted to plant an area with native flax.
Bush and Beach bought over 1,500 flax plants and with the help of locals, some of the Bush and Beach team and help from the Hotel Concierge Society of New Zealand members the job was completed quickly. The team even had time to help with the recapping of the pump BMX track before finishing with a BBQ and keg of Hallertau beer at the Muriwai Surf Life Saving Club.
Initiatives like this in our local communities form part of our commitment to Sustainable Tourism which you can read more about here.
Thanks to everyone who came along to help and we are looking forward to our next planting day.
If you want to see Muriwai on one of our tours then we go there every day on our wine tour of the Kumeu region which you can find out more about here.
