Helping with a community planting
On the 18th August we helped the Auckland Council get over 500 native plants planted in the Kakamatura area near Cornwallis.
With around 15 of our staff and Cameron the Park Ranger we got the planting done pretty efficiently.
The plants were mainly Manuka, Cabbage Trees and native grasses to stabilise areas affected by flooding and to revegetate where gorse had been removed. It was great to give back to one of the communities we visit on our tours and locals passing by were grateful for our efforts.
