Finalist for the Qualmark 100% Pure New Zealand Experience Awards 2019

Bush and Beach and our Wilderness Experience tour has been selected as a finalist in the Qualmark 100% Pure New Zealand Experience Awards 2019.

The Bush and Beach Wilderness Experience tour was selected as a finalist from over 100 registrations that were received for the awards.

Qualmark General Manager Gregg Anderson says that the volume and quality of entries received adds further credit to the entrants and the exceptional visitor experiences they offer.

“These are operators that have the elements of manaakitanga, tiaki and whānau firmly embedded in their offering and are creating an outstanding experience for visitors and local communities alike. We have been impressed by the high calibre of entries received for these awards, and the expertise in the judging panel is a reflection of that”, says Mr. Anderson.

The awards are not just about business excellence, they’re about recognising the businesses enriching New Zealand while providing an exceptional visitor experience. The judges were looking for businesses who are delivering hospitality through true connections, showing care for people and place, and providing a warm welcome to our visitors.

Entries were assessed by a judging panel comprising representatives from Tourism New Zealand and Air New Zealand as industry leaders in manaakitanga and tourism sustainability. The entries were judged on the criteria of excellence in visitor hosting and hospitality, excellence in care for people, community and land, and delivering a world class visitor experience, under the three pillars of Manaakitanga (A deeper expression of hospitality based on true empathy and connection), Tiaki (Our duty of care for people and place) and Whānau (Embracing visitors as family).
